Follow stations you can realistically use
For a regular commute, the useful comparison is often between a small set of accessible stations. Save places near home, work or a route you drive frequently, rather than collecting stations you would rarely visit. A new price at a practical alternative gives you a reason to compare your next fill.
PienoGo’s favourites and optional price-change emails require an account. You can still search, filter and inspect nearby stations as a guest; signing in adds the ability to keep your station shortlist and manage email alerts.
Alerts concern changes, not only price drops. An increase can be just as relevant when deciding whether to use your usual station or compare alternatives. An email does not reserve the reported price or promise that it is the cheapest option nearby.
Save a station and enable emails
- Sign in to PienoGo or create an account.
- Search for a station and open its detail. Check that it offers the fuel and service type you normally use.
- Tap the heart or Add to favorites. The English app lists saved stations under Favorites.
- Open your profile and enable Avvisi via email, meaning email alerts, in the notification section.
- Return to Favorites to compare your shortlist by distance or price when planning a fill.
Adding a favourite and enabling emails are separate actions. If you want the saved list without emails, leave the alert preference off. You can later change the preference in your profile or remove stations from your favourites.
Treat an alert as a prompt to check
PienoGo imports MIMIT data daily, so emails depend on changes detected in that data. They are not instant notices of every change made at the pump. The date of the station’s price report remains relevant even after a recent app import.
After an alert, open the station again and check the appropriate row: benzina means petrol, gasolio diesel, self self-service and servito attended service. A change for a product you do not buy may have little bearing on your next stop. Inspect price history for context and compare another suitable station before travelling.
Common questions
Will I only receive alerts when prices fall?
No. The feature covers price changes, including increases. It is intended to help you reassess your options, not to promise a bargain.
Can I keep favourites without receiving emails?
Yes. Favourites give you a saved station list; email alerts are an optional preference in your profile.
Does no email mean the pump price is unchanged?
No. Reporting, source publication, importing and email delivery are separate stages. Open the app to inspect the available data and confirm the displayed price at the station before filling.
